In 1976, during the 8th season of the show, Sesame Street aired an episode titled, "Wicked Witch of the West" guest starring Margaret Hamilton, reprising her role as the Wicked Witch f rom the 1939 movie, "The Wizard of Oz."
Although the episode aired, complaints by parents about the episode being too frightening led to Sesame Street removing the episode from further re-runs and for 46 years, it was never aired or even leaked online.
Now, in 2022, the episode has been finally unearthed and is for the viewing public. Thanks for reading
